So with the very generous help of Jonathan, a local guy, and his bike repair book, our wheel wobble and gears (mostly) were fixed. So we got back on Hwy 119 yesterday, the rain caught us and we ended up in Jenkins, KY, with another flat tire. There was no hotel, so we spoke with the local police and were planning to camp at the city park. As we were eating dinner at
Hardees, the only place in town to have dinner Saturday night, we were invited to stay at the God's Love in a Diaper Bag mission. We accepted the offer and were happy not to camp in the rain during a pretty chilly night. Today was our first day without mechanical problems. We put in 61 miles over many big hills. It was rather chilly, upper 50s and lower 60s and will be cold tonight, so we are staying in a lo

vely b and b in Williamson, WV. I'm
exhausted, so off to bed.
You'll need to elaborate on "God's Love in a Diaper Bag"...
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day of mechanically sound riding.
